Australia Points System
The Australia Point System aids applicants in determining their point totals for Subclass 189, 190, and 491 Australian immigration visas. The minimum requirements for each visa are outlined below. Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 65 points for eligibility. Higher point totals increase the likelihood of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency in Australia. The Australian Points Calculator assesses points based on various factors, including:
- Age
- English Language Ability
- Skilled Employment
- Educational Qualifications
- Australian Study Requirements
- Credentialled Community Language Qualifications
- Study in Regional Australia
- Partner Skill Qualifications
- Professional Year in Australia
- Nomination by State or Territory Government (for visa subclass 190 only)
- Nomination by State or Territory Government or Sponsorship by an Eligible Family Member (for visa subclass 491 only)
